As experienced web designers might already know, browsers can use only the fonts installed in each computer, meaning that every visitor of your web page needs to have all the fonts you want to use installed in his/her computer. Of course, different people will have different fonts installed, and thus come the need of a standard set of fonts. Fortunately, CSS allows set several values for the font-family property, which eases the task a bit.

So for this reason I was looking around the web for a detailed list of all available font-families. This link is very useful as it gives previews of various fonts, making web designer’s and developer’s life a lot easier: http://www.fonttester.com/web_safe_fonts.html

In fact, Font Tester is a free online font comparison tool, very useful for web developers who are looking for just the right font/style/color to use in their pages.
